Lake Manitoba Health Centre is a not-for-profit community hospital proudly serving the families of Manitoba since 1974. We are committed to delivering exceptional care through our team of over 200 physicians, nurses, and healthcare professionals.

Our Journey
50 Years of Caring
Founded
Lake Manitoba Health Centre opened its doors with 40 beds and a small team of dedicated physicians and nurses serving the local community.
Emergency Expansion
A major expansion added a dedicated 24/7 Emergency Department, bringing critical care services directly to Manitoba families.
Maternity Centre Opens
The Family Birth Centre was established, offering comprehensive prenatal, labour, and postnatal care in a warm, family-centred environment.
Diagnostic Imaging Upgrade
State-of-the-art MRI and CT scanning equipment was installed, enabling faster, more accurate diagnoses without patients needing to travel.
Mental Health Program
A dedicated Mental Health and Wellness program launched, addressing a critical gap in community health services across the region.
50 Years of Care
We celebrated 50 years of serving Manitoba families — now with 200+ physicians, 8 departments, and over 18,000 patients served annually.

Dr. Margaret Sinclair
President & Chief Executive Officer
Dr. Sinclair has led Lake Manitoba Health Centre for over 12 years, championing patient-centred care and community health initiatives across the region.
Dr. Liam Syed
Chief Medical Officer
A board-certified internist with 20 years of clinical experience, Dr. Okoro oversees all medical programs and ensures the highest standards of clinical excellence.
Linda Chartrand, RN
Chief Nursing Officer
Linda leads our nursing teams with a deep commitment to compassionate care, staff development, and patient safety across all wards and departments.
Robert Flett
Chief Operating Officer
Robert brings 18 years of healthcare administration experience, ensuring our operations run smoothly so our clinical teams can focus entirely on patient care.
